About the Journal
Peer Review Process
This Journal uses a double-blind review process, in which the identities of neither author nor reviewers are revealed. This means that submitted articles will undergo a double checking by two anonymous reviewers chosen for their expertise in the same scholarly area of the author. The reviewers will assess the accuracy and the soundness of the research methods and procedures adopted by the author.
Submitted articles will be evaluated as follows:
- if both reviewers evaluate that the manuscript is publishable without revisions, it will be then forwarded to the Editorial Staff for final editing;
- if both reviewers evaluate that the manuscript is publishable but it needs to be revised, the manuscript will be forwarded to the author who must apply the reported drafting changes;
- if both reviewers agree that the manuscript is lacking in scholarly validity and rigor, it will be rejected;
- if the reviewers’ judgment is divided on the matter – that is only one of the reviewers evaluates that the manuscript is publishable –, the SEditors (dialoguing with the Guest Editor or the Guest Editors) will decide whether to publish the manuscript or to forward it to a third reviewer asking for an opinion.
The evaluation process results will be communicate to the author also in the case of a negative response.
